Wow. I can't say anything but Wow after listening to this CD again, again, and again. It's the best CD this year by far, in my mind; incredible music backed by intensely high and innovative vocal melodies. Dark, yet so poppy it infects you like some sort of good disease. I love this CD, and I can't say anything else about my feelings for it besides that.
The music, as mentioned, features extremely high (almost female sounding, to be honest) vocals which I have heard are echoed live almost flawlessly. The guitars are highly energetic, in the vein of possibly something like Thrice. The music is like that, somewhat metal-influenced by trust me, there's no way you would mistake this for metal. It's really poppy and every song is different and great. The production is great too, nothing amazing but definitely doesn't make the band lose any of their talent.
Their name sounds weird, I know. Their look is weird, I know. For the traditional New Found Glory/drive thru/vagrant listener, this CD might not look that appealing. Don't judge a book by it's cover. Buy this CD. Right now. If you are into Thrice/Finch or whatever you're into you will like this. It's really good! haha.
(This CD has been re-issued since this review's inception. Buy it!)
