This CD opens with a fast, straight-forward "yeah yeah .. begin my downfall" and goes through the verse with punchy, poppy rhythms and guitars. When he shouts "pictures," the blending of vocals sounds gorgeous, but you can't understand what he's saying (even I had to look into the liners for that one). "Advance Letter Goodbye" flows with some great, catchy riffs and melodies and is easily the most powerful song on the CD. It's full of breakdowns and rhythm changes, and the only real "downfall" is the lack of efficient production. For, as in the whole CD, the guitars seem to drown out the vocals which appear strained and almost inaudible in contrast to the fast, charging guitars.

None of the other songs stick out, and something about the simplicity and, bluntly, basic approach to pop punk make the EP die out fast. Although the talent of Bayside is apparent in the fast and very punchy riffs in "Foot Impressions" (during the verse) and the similar sound to the rest of the songs in the EP, the combination of not-so-great production with not-so-innovative music doesn't make for a long-lasting EP.
