Until I saw this band live, I couldn't see what the big deal was about, but now I'm beyond sold. I love this band, and find them to be a very genuine, hard working band deserving of everyone's attention. "Sing, But Keep Going" is released this month on Sidecho, and serves as a follow-up to a decent EP, but takes it so much further. There are tons of energetic, poppy songs filled with passion and love on this, characteristic of a band who focus on delicate vocal harmonies and blasting guitars.
I love the way this disc has a sort of energy and movement that sounds so young but is still mature enough for even the picky people to like. There are a lot of great uses of vibes and keyboards as well as shakers and claps on "Sing, But Keep Going," and while this might not be something entirely groundbreaking or innovative, it is rejuvenating and enjoyable. Sherwood seem to have a mastery of clean, smooth vocal harmonies and voices that sound great together, and their live act is suprisingly consistent, even on the often high, non-stop vocals.
See these guys, and buy this disc; the art and packaging is excellent, and the EPK (Electronic Promo Kit) that's included shows a pretty funny video and some cool footage. Great stuff.
