This was a long-awaited CD for me. I loved Through Being Cool, but I definitely overplayed it. I probably listened to that whole CD through about 300 times or something. I couldn't wait to hear more from Saves the Day, and they soon became one of my favorite bands. I heard the stuff on "Another Year on the Streets" and I LOVED what I heard. Expecting more of the same, I couldn't wait. Instead, I was given a CD which expresses a totally different style (for the most part) for the band, and it's just a different sound to the band. A lot of people I've talked with love this CD, and a few people hate it.. (Dan @ punkbands.com). I just can't understand why anyone would hate this album. It's probably because they are so into the old Saves the Day sound that they just can't adapt to a new sound for the band. Me, I loved this record, start to finish. At Your Funeral, See You, Freakish, and Nightingale are some of the best sounding pieces of music I have ever heard. Some of the songs are not as good, but they all grow on you. My only gripe? I WISH they would've included the two songs off "Another Year on the Streets" because those are some of my favorite songs by the band and I hate having to get my comp out to hear those two songs! grr. Get this CD, you won't be disappointed at any measure. Don't expect another "Through Being Cool," and you're guaranteed to love this album to death. Pick up "Another Year.." if you want to hear two other AWESOME songs by the band too. Ok, one more time, this CD is 11 of the best songs I have ever heard . . .so go!
